hi, i have already placed my order for the osprey gas piston conversion. i would like to use a quad rail with a forward grip added. will the osprey piston conversion kit work with every quad rail, or do i have to buy from a certain supplier?
thanks

The OPS-416 will work with milspec hand-guards as of now. We are doing a little experimenting on our own here at the shop to see which after-market rail systems will fit (without modification) if any. We will post the results on our site about the time of first release (now late-May). There are at least two major rail manufacturers who are now working with Osprey Defense to produce rails to work with gas piston technology. This means not only that they will fit, but that the rails will allow for removal of a portion of the rail systems and allow for operator maintenance of the gas piston itself. We feel this feature is critical in a rail covering a gas piston (any gas piston) in that ALL gas pistons will require periodic cleaning/maintenance.

We will be making these new rails available for purchase as soon as their manufacturers complete them. We are hoping for the rails to become available before the end of summer 08'.

Please contact me with any further questions.
