Quake Bushwacker covers

I have the transparent yellow cover type and they are of fair quality for the money. The only problem is in the size range. Size 3 struggles to meet the size advertised i.e. it's a VERY tight fit on the 1.4 inch it is supposed to fit and actually deforms when fitted. Size 4 is too loose on 1.4 inch. The only solution was to remove the object lens ring and then fit the size 3 cover over the threads. It prevents the rubber fitting deforming but it is not aesthetically pleasing to the eye. For some peculiar reason there is no size 2 and there is no overlap on sizes 3 & 4. Strange. BTW the price on the site on your link it way over the top for these covers - shop around.

I have the Butler Creek covers. They fit perfectly.

However, if you really plan to bushwack with them, flip-ups are far from perfect. Here in chaparral country, I ended up flipping the things open on twigs more times than I can count. I'm not sure if they're worth using in brush, since they hardly protected the lenses when they were open at the worst times!

See-thru covers with rubber bands might be better. Just plan on sacrificing them now and then, and buying new ones. I don't know. Anyone else have something that works?
