Quality AR lower

I've seen a few threads that call out some popular manufacturers of complete rifles as parts assemblers with inconsistant quality and questionable assembly proceedures. So who is making quality lowers? I'm interested from start to finish; e.g. who cast's them, machines them, and assembles them in house. I'd guess only a few, so who out there is buying quality castings and doing top notch machining and assembly work? Don't worry about the uppers, i'm pretty sold on the WOA/WOP uppers after my recent purchase. Thanks in advance.

There are I believe 4 or 5 companies that make all the lower receivers (CMT, LAR, LMT and a few others). All the name brand companies buy them and put on their logo. They've basically become off-the-shelf commodies that are made to spec and you should just purchase based on price.

A friend of mine bought a stag lower and the Finnish on the thing was really nice.
