Hey everyone, the folks that bring you the Appleseed Shoots are conducting in-depth, comprehensive instructional courses. They are calling these Rifleman Boot Camps. At these Boot Camps, you will receive instruction on the use of a battle rifle out to 500+ yards. You will be exposed to small instructor/student ratios, detailed instruction and actual range shooting out to 500 yards.

These 6 day shooting course are being held at several places around the country, are a great value at $200 for the 6 days of intense instruction on long range shooting. When the course is complete, you will have the skills and knowledge operate your rifle out to 500+ yards, and have the knowledge to be able to share this information and skills with others.

Here are the remaining dates and locations for 2007:
Kemmerer, WY Sept 16 - 23
Texarkana, TX Sept 30 - Oct 7
Osage Beach, MO Oct 7-14
Evansville, IN Oct 22-28
Davilla, TX Nov 4-11

And a link for additional information http://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=21.0

PM me if you have any questions about the program or if you have an interest in attending one of the remaining Rifleman Boot Camps of 2007.

Great stuff! If you can get off work, this is a well spent vacation! Bring the wife and kids, they shoot free(as long as the boys are under 20) and are bound to have as much fun, or more, as you will have! Much cheaper and a lot more entertaining than any theme park.

What's better than a week of nothing but shooting, sleeping under the stars(or in a nice comfy hotel if you have the extra $), and learning to shoot better than all those snobby guys at the rifle range or hunting club?

Not to mention you'd be doing America a favor!

I can't think of anything better! :D

All day 8am- til ??? depending on the local rules. You ought to try and get to this training. Where else can you be imursed in the pool of rifle marksmanship at such an affordable price?

One of the best weeks I have had in my life was at Boot Camp #1 at Ramseur at the RWVA Home Range.
I was 69 yrs. old and got tired, sore and stiff but I loved it.
Took me 2 weeks to get over it but I still loved it:what:
Also met some of the best people in the USA.:D

If at all possible, try to camp on the range. If you don't, you will miss some of the best parts. After the days shooting is over and everyone is just sitting around shooting the bull is a major joy of the event.

This is what we call a "Rifleman Bootcamp". There will be an Appleseed imediately following the week where those who are at the camp to become Instructors will run their first shoot. But, you don't have to be there to be an Instructor. Come to learn and shoot is Ace with us!

The week consists of learning not only how to shoot by the 6 numbered steps, proper positioning, Natural Point Of Aim, Inches Minutes and Clicks, and proper cadence, but also how to diagnose groups, coach and teach others, and meet new and interesting people who you don't have to kill.

I will be Instructing at Evansville IN, Kemmerer WY, Osage Beach MO, and Davalia (OR however it is spelled) TX.

Plan on bringing a load of ammo, and yes, .22's are acceptable, and actually encouraged, as you can do ALOT of learning on one.

".22 to learn, centerfire to confirm" is what I always say.

For more info, follow the links below....., or above!

$200 is a steal compared to many of the 'tactical carbine' courses; $200 doesn't even get you in the door for most of those 2-day courses.
A week-long course conducted by one of the for-profit instructors/schools would run you $800+ !!!!
