I've been shopping around for an inexpensive .22LR Peacemaker to put on loan at the UT Rifle and Pistol Club (our campus shooting range at UT Austin). I was kicking myself for having missed a neat little Hawes (Sauer) sixgun for $125, but then chanced upon a Tangfolio SA revo.
It seems pretty similar to several other inexpensive import .22LR sixguns, a little bit nicer than the Heritage Rough Rider and the like, though still has a silly safety switch on the left side of the frame. Action checked out okay, feels solid overall.
McBrides of Austin let me have it for $65 since it's for the UT club, so as long as it throws lead forward it can't be too bad. If it becomes a popular rental, we may use some student dues money to buy a Ruger Single Six down the road.
Does anyone have any experience with the Tangfolio single actions? Is the Hawes twice as good?
