Hello, I'm looking for suggestions for a new Shotgun. I would like something that DOES NOT have a polymer stock, or any plastic/polymer trigger group.

I like the Ithaca 37 m&p style or maybe an 870 police or if you could get a walnut stock for 590a1 that would be perfect.

Yeah... I'm really looking for something a little different. I know the 870 but i refuse to buy a new one as long as they are dimpling the mag tubes of the new shotguns. because we shouldn't have that kind of fire power

How often do people come across the 37's? in a police format? Also I don't care about tactical as much as a heavy walled barrel.

I agree, you can't go wrong with an 870. Find an older wingmaster in good shape. They're made better than the new express 870s.

The 870 Express shotguns come with the factory mag tube ext don't have dimples. If they did the tube ext wouldn't work. Remington is offering a $30 rebate, that's a deal. An older used 870 would be nice also.

I bought a ithaca DS Police from a buddy of mine last spring (he needed to finance a walther P88 purchase). I saw one at a gun show last month in the $325-375 price range.

Yeah my whole problem is with the Remington is why should you have to buy a police or their already tactical model to install a mag ext.?

Can't fault the product just the policy. Ithaca really has my attention though....
