Hold the phone you guys- "Queen Anne" pistols are also refered to as "Cannon Barrelled
Pistols- and they were breech loading- ( hence no ramrod)-
The barrel always had some kind of place for a key to engage, for unscrewing the barrel.

The powder and ball were loaded, and the barrel was screwed back on.

the bore of these pistols had a slight choke , making them more accurate, and powerful
than a muzzle loader-

Ok, so a properly set up flint will fire most of the time.
Which is what i am used to from my Renegade.

Anyone on the accuracy issue? 15 yd line hits on a paperplate will do fine for me. Will the Queen Anne do that?

thanks again. You guys kick butt.

(ps. The wife and I and her dad and my dad and one friend went hunting this year and we got 6 deer! I got a doe with my dad.
My dad got a doe, then her dad got a doe, then i got a 7 point, then my wife got her FIRST DOE RUNNING! 65 yds with a .270 SWEET! Then our friend got a buck too! Also his first deer 225 yds walking with a .270

One day hunting, 5 hunters 5 deer, That made 6 total! I got two.

Now we have 2 more tags to fill. I have to try and get one with the flintlock. We have a special season after xmas. My sisterinlaw wants me to fill her freezer too. :)

Bellup039 - You seem to be leaning toward the Queen Annes and they are not bad guns. Like I said, I had two of them at one time, and they would not be my choice for a target or hunting pistol. But at 15 yards you should get the accuracy you are wanting. They don't have sights so you are pretty much just pointing the gun at the target. Accuracy is going to depend on how steady you hold it and how well you line it up.

thanks PRM.

I can shoot a regular pistol and revolver quite well. so I am sure i can "point shoot" I just dont know if I should get the queen or not. It sure is pritty. And did catch my eye.

:) Well, Christmas is 2 days away. maybee the wife saw this and got me one when I wasn't looking. (keeping fingers crossed.)
