Thinking about packing up in the next year or two and moving to Oregon. Fighting cancer right now and will be downsizing and adjusting to a different life if I make it. Hunting with a stick and a string will be over due to an ever downward spiral of health over the last 15 years or so. Hunting big game has kept me in MT and WY most all of my adult life. However, one of my big loves has been bird hunting with one of my labs since in the past 40 years. I intend to do that gain. Besides being poor makes it about the only hunting I can afford these days. LOL (kinda sad). Birds around here is a tough go. Either locked up on private or LONG walks on public with FEW birds around anymore. If i moved to around McMinnville how far would it be to get to some decent public land birds? Is it pretty competitive for such a thing? Is it even a worthy thought?
