Hello all,
New reloader checking in. After searching for many posts on how to begin reloading, I have finally gotten necessary tools to begin. I am using Redding T-7 turret as a press, and chose Redding titanium carbide as dies. I am mostly loading 9mm and 357 mag.
My question is how to set the dies up. Instructions that came with the dies says to hold the shellholder in up position, screw down the die so there is contact and then lock it up. This is fine, this I understand.
However additional notes in box says that when loading .357 mag, I should turn the die back for about 1/8''. Ok, I get this too. But there is also other note saying that titanium carbide ones are not for loading full sized cases. (what is full sized case? is 357 mag one? ). For loading full sized cases I am instructed to adjust the die so only expanded portion of case is resized. I am not sure what to make out of this.
So combining all that, how do I set up my resizing / decap dies for 357 mag?
Lots of thanks in advance.
P.S I dont live in US, so calling Redding would be too expensive for now
