Ok, whenever you go to clean your revolver after shooting, do you find "powder" I guess is what you would call it, on the outside of the cylinder? I have noticed some gathering and getting dark on the outside of my cylinder like where each round goes in. Most of the time I can get it off with some solvent, but there are 2 areas from where I didn't clean my revolver afterwards. Is it common for the powder to come out the sides like that when it is fired?

Just let the solvent sit for a few minutes and it should clean off...and yes, its normal and depends a lot on the ammo your shooting. Some ammo will burn cleaner than other ammo. You might switch around a bit and see if you find something that doesn't leave as much residue on your revolver.

What you're describing sounds perfectly normal. There's a lot blast from firing a centerfire revolver and that blast carries a lot of residue that will deposit itself pretty much all over your shootin' iron. As was mentioned above, just let the solvent do the work. Keep the nasty areas wet with your preferred solvent, let it sit for a few and apply toothbrush. "Problem" solved.

Sounds good guys, I will get her looking nice and pretty tomorrow! I was worried that the cylinder just didn't have a tight fit or something like that.
