Question about the BHP .40

I felt the BHP .40 and the grip is just amazing. I heard the magazines come with some weird mouse-trap device. That is a big turn off. Can anyone verify this?
 
Just a small spring at the back end to aid extraction. Nothing weird about it. You can get them without if you so choose.
