I'm new to turkey hunting and I have had good luck so far. Today I took too far a shot at the birds and missed. The spot that I am hunting is pretty fertile with the birds and they are not hunted in this particular area. Over the past 2 mornings they have been consistently in this area at the same time. After getting shot at today, will they still follow their usual time pattern, or will they be "gun shy" for awhile?
I have a few morning off this week and would like to get out a few more times before the fall season ends on the 20th. I have one more bird to fill my quota. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks. Frisco

They might be a little more educated, I've missed some jakes before and they were back later in the week (similar pattern to what they had been running).

I'd think that you have a fair chance in seeing them there again, but they might be a little more wary.

Schlockinz - thanks for the reply. I was out walking yesterday and heard the tom's gobbling away. I have an overnight shift tonight and I'm going to post for a few hours in the AM, maybe catch some Z's, but I doubt it. Can't sleep much in the woods. Hey I read another post and see that you are familiar with Pok NY. Hope that you like your new neck of the woods better. I used to be a medic and covered the City of Poughkeepsie. Thanks again.
