question about xd9 adn p99

i recently found out that my p99 will take the xd9/xd40 mag if i make the notch on the corner. sure it sticks out a little, kind of like the beretta mags on the xd. so i ask, would the p99 40 cal mags fit as a high cap for the p99 9mm as the xd's do?

I haven't tried it myself, but the general consensus over at the Walther forums is not good.
