Question for the Enablers

After shipping and FFL transfer fee, that's be right around the $639 LGS price that seems to be too high by general consensus, no?

She's a very part time shooter, at this point all the "up front" would be really overkill. But clearly nice pistols

-jb, kind of like a S&W M 52 for an occasional plinker :D

The Kraken isn’t serialized, it ships direct. My LGS charges $15, and I agree, it is a bit more for a very part-time shooter but I’d bet you’d love to keep it in shape.

My other intention with mentioning it is that sometimes a new shooter is born from shooting something they enjoy. I recently bought my son a special edition rifle, he’s a very occasional shooter but when he saw the catalog pics his eyes lit up. I offered him a new laptop or bigscreen tv as alternative gifts but he insisted on the rifle as his choice. Time will tell, but I think he’s giving in. Your wife might feel the same about a souped up pistol.

I get it Skylerbone, I don't mean to dismiss your suggestions out of hand. I appreciate your and all suggestions. I'm always amazed at the wide range of perceptions here at THR.

-jb, often gleans new perspectives, thanks all

Completely understood and no worries. A marginal suggestion that might have worked for you wasn’t as likely to be the answer but on the off chance it was, was worth the price of a few keyboard taps. And, being an enabler, I love it when people buy cool stuff. :)
