Tuner, my question is about trigger reset time. Just got a new DW CBOB .45 ACP(Cmder. length 1911); and it's doing fine thru first 125 rounds. It has fed and fired everthing I've fed it thru a variety of mags. However, one of the things I do during break in of 1911's is after the first 100 rounds or so, I fire a couple of mags full as fast as I can. On my other 1911's I have done this without a hitch. However, I notice on the new pistol that I can fire 4 shots like that, then there is a "hitch" before I can fire the last 4. If I slow down just a little, no problem. I'm assuming this has to do with slow trigger reset time in the new pistol, or am I wrong?

Best regards, WB

Thanks, Tuner

Tuner, I appreciate your thoughts as always. However, when it comes to things in the bottom half of 1911's, I leave them to my 1911 'smith. Also, possible that whatever may be rubbing will clear itself up during the rest of the break-in process (several hundred more rounds to go). Thanks again, WB

Bottom End

WB, The trigger channel may just need a cleanin'. You can try a quick little somethin' to see if it helps. Mag out...slide locked...Use a can of WD40 and the straw to spray around the trigger bow. You can see it in the channel through the magwell with a good light. If it helps, follow it up with a little carburetor cleaner and let it air-dry overnight...then use a little Rem-Oil and drip dry.
