question on what shot in barrels

i am wondering can i shoot any lead shot from 7 /1/2 down to 00 ,in my REM slug rifle barrel ? i was wanting to use it for home def. too. and can i shoot any lead shot in my 28 " turkey choke barrel including 00 for coyotes.

If the barrel is rifled, and not a smoothbore, it's probably not what you want to do. It won't really harm the barrel (other than leading) but it'll probably produce patterns that open up really fast and have a hole in the middle (usually referred to as "donuts").

You can safely shoot anything; however, as mentioned, the accuracy/pattern might not be up to your expectations
