Good Morning,
I had a good day at the range yesterday. I worked up a load for my 30 TC by trying loads at 45, 46, 47, and 47.5 grains of BL-C(2). Hoddgon's website lists 48 grains as max load.
As for accuracy, 45 was o.k., 46 was good, 47 was slightly better, and 47.5 was significantly worse. Great, I learned that 47 grains was a good for this rifle. (The velocity averaged 2730 with a 150 grain bullet, plenty for hunting whitetail I believe.)
My question is if I want to fiddle with this or another load for accuracy, what is a reasonable amount of powder weight to change? .2 grains? .5 grains?
For my 380/9mm pistols, with their much lighter charges I assuming changing by .1 grain as I'm near my goal seems to make sense.
Thanks for any input.
