For all those with 7.62x39 AR's.. any accuracy results you could post up ?
Both with less expensive Com-Bloc ammo and better ammo ( Hornady )

Hello all. For the people who own/built 7.62x39 ARs.
Which upper did you choose?
What mags work the best for you?
Did you encounter any/many problems with your build?
My current situation is that I am going to build an AR. I like the 7.62x39 round. Especially since my shooting will be in the close to medium range. My lower came from 80 per cent. A friend of mine who has been building and shooting ARs uses these. The lower kit I have is from PSA. The lower is set up for AR mags. I'm planning on using twenty rounders just because I find them to be handier for me.
So there the bulk of it is in a nutshell. 223 people need not apply with opinions. 7.62x39 people,......please, intrigue me!
My cheap AR Stoner 7.62x39 upper from MidwayUSA is a sleeper of a accurate AR-15. It's been 100% reliable and very very accurate. I've shot Wolf SP, real deal 8M3 ammo, the Tula 8M3 copy, handloads, and factory Federal Fusion. None of them shoot bad. My choice of them all is the Federal Fusion or my handloads with a 135 grain FTX. I've even ran the rifle over with my truck (stupid accident lol) and it still shoots very well. The lower 2 shots were at 50 yards and the higher shot was at 100 yards with no scope adjustment. View attachment 883383
I have a PSA complete upper on an Anderson ( I think anyway, its not in front of me).
Runs like a champ, out of a couple hundred rounds no problems at all.
I run C-products 10 rounders, because I couldnt find 20's in stock anywhere...and I, planned from the start to use it for deer.
I hope this thread starts to finally put to bed the myth that 7.62x39 AR15 are finicky and unreliable and that steel case ammo is inaccurate.
I'm leaning towards a PSA complete upper. Friends of mine who build ARs really like their products. These guys are really into it. They know that they can just buy an AR cheap now, but they really love to tinker. They're like reloaders(which a few of them are also into), it's almost more about the building than the actual using (sort of). They've been after me for years to build. I guess that even at my age, I can cave to peer pressure. Guess it doesn't help that I have been enjoying their ARs more these past few years .
Mine is also a complete PSA upper and PSA LPK with “enhanced” trigger group. The lower is an Aero Precision and the furniture is from Boyds. I have two 20rd C-Products and two AR-Stoner (ASC) 10rd mags.
So far it shoots any and all Wolf, Tula and Winchester. Very reliable. I have not fired it from a bench for accuracy however firing it offhand at the old cottonwood tree stump south of my house it averages 3” or so at approx 60 yards - stepped off.
