Questions about a Makarov Im looking at

Hey guys Im looking into buying an East German Makarov but someone went and added sig sights to it. Is that going to kind of make it a second class citizen compared to the other east german maks as far as price increases and collectability. Im buying it mainly for a fun cheap shooting gun, but a big part of the draw is the history surrounding the model and if I ever were to want to sell it I dont want to run into the nobody wants it because of that. Its not like the russias with the adjustable rear sight those came like that orig. this from hta I gather never meant to be on the gun.

Even if it doesnt hold the gun back Im still not sure if Im ok with it, a big point of owning is is nostalgia

Was the original silde modified to accept the sights? If not original ones can be re-installed.

Im assuming the original slide has been modified because on the models with the Russian stock adjustable sight the slide had to be modified to accomadate it and you cant put original sights on it.

For collectability, you want the stock sights.

If you just want a fun firing makarov, buy one of the bazillion bulgarians on the market right now for $230 and be done with it.

thats actually what I decided on was to go with a Bulgarian, Im trying to find one where the stamp from the company that imported it doesnt look so crappy. Ive seen a couple on the Bulgarians where they almost look like they were stamped and then the name had white put in it- but maybe it was just the flash reflecting off it Im not sure, Even if its just for fun I want something that looks halfway decent.

Particularly like this does this stamp look lke this because of the flash or is that stamp on there really white??

and that stamp right above the grip looks crooked but it could be a trick on the minds eye
