Specifically the Hogue 08732 (12" LOP overmold set):

1) How is the recoil pad on the Hogue compared to, say, a Remington Supercell (or whatever other premium recoil pad you can compare to)?
2) Will an aftermarket recoil pad fit on the Hogue, e.g., is the butt end to the same "spec" (LxWxH, screw holes) as a factory stock?

As you can infer, I'm fond of my Supercell and a little trepidative about having to swap it out. :)

I find the recoil pad is noticably better than a typical factory style pad but not as effective as a Supercell or Limbsaver IMO. It seems to be equivalent to a Pachmeyr Decelerator pad, the material is decent but it's footprint is a little on the small side.

Dimensionally it seems like a totally oddball size to my eye but I've never tried to fit anything else on there. However I sometimes throw a small sized Limbsaver slip-on pad over the factory pad, it stays put and it greatly increases the area contacting your shoulder.
