Questions From a New Guy

Hey everyone. First, let me say how awesome THR is. This is a great website with tons of information and I have enjoyed "studying up" the last few days. I live in NC and will soon be moving to Ohio. My question is this...if I buy handguns with an NC handgun permit and then move to Ohio, do I have to purchase Ohio permits to own these guns in my new state? Also, is it best to make copies of my permits before giving them to a store or in a ftf transaction just to have proof of permit? Thanks so much and sorry for the "rookie" questions.

Ohio doesn't require handgun purchase permits like NC does.
