I just got a p7 m13.

First, is it okay to dry fire this weapon?

Second, the white dots in the rear sight differ. One appears to be a little larger than the other and is flush with back of the sight. It is also a little brighter (whiter). The other is indented a little bit just like the front sight dot (same size too). Is there anything I can do about this?

Third, I would appreciate any tips on taking care of this weapon, since it cost a hellacious amount.

Fourth, I need a holster for this weapon. I am thinking of an IWB for warmer weather, and one which straps around your back to where you crossdraw it near your ribcage for the colder weather. If you have any links to where I might find either of these, I would be much obliged.

The edit function didn't work. Actually it did, but I failed to realize it...

I forgot another question.

On the grips, I unscrew each screw yet the grips still won't come off. Is there a trick to removing them?

To balance out all of my questions, here is a crappy picture.

To remove the grips, you need to slip them forward or back a bit to get the lips of the grip out of the frame.

For extensive dry-firing, some recommend a snap cap. For some now and then, it's probably fine (and I do).

As for cleaning, when the gas piston gets chunky or the trigger reset starts to slow, clean...

That is a nice P7M13! I had one about 11 years ago and I still regret selling it.

I remember reading somewhere that the dots in some of the P7 sights actually had a problem with coming out of the sight. I guess they are actually white-colored cylinders in the sight itself. This might be the problem you are seeing. Anyway you have a beauty there, don't get rid of it!
