abuddy and i were discussing our favorite foreign pistols, and I can't for life of me remember if the CZ-75 is single, or double action. I should know, but I just can't remember, and I've had no luck finding it online.

Double or single first shot, single afterward. They also make a SA only trigger mechanism but they are not very common.

It's OK, I have lots of time to waste. ;)

CZ75s are generally a double-action first shot, with subsequent shots being SA. A manual safety model allows the hammer to be cocked and the safety engaged for a SA first shot. Models with decockers always revert to DA when the hammer is decocked. There is also a SA-only version.

This is way more fun than Google!
Ever notice how most gun related searches end-up here ot at TFL ?

Yeah, but a lot of them end up over there at THR too though.

They were originally D/A with no decocker and a cocked and locked safety. I believe they were intended to be carried cocked and locked with a second strike capability for those hard ComBloc primers.

I like this place.Just wish I could fix my boo- boo and get rid of my e-mail address as my user name.

Log off and re-register with a new user name and you should be good to go. Your old user name will be gone in no time.
