Quick P01 Holster question

I'm looking for an IWB holster for my P-01. I currently have a Galco M5X Matrix OWB. It works well for the range a stuff, but being skinny, the bulge is noticable, and I don't like that the barrel can stick out under my shirt when I lift my arms. I noticed when I stick the holster inside my waistband the bulge of the gun dissapears, and is really touch to notice even when you're looking for it. So I think and IWB would be good in addition to my Galco. My budget is around 40$. I won't be carrying it that often.

Black Hills Leather BH71. Straight drop, so you can put it behind the hip, in front of the hip, and appendix. I have one for my P01.

Jl- Is it comfortable? I don't have to much padding on my hips? I'm also worried about the gun moving around a lot. I've never used a leather holster before and they always look like they hold onto the gun less than a plastic molded holster. Also, on the web page why would it ask for belt loops information if it has a clip? Just generic info?


I just noticed the Bianchi M100 holster in this thread and it looks pretty nice. I quick search and I've found it for 45$. Although it looks like it doesn't go down in the holster all the way. http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=372067

Try Eric at www.hbeleatherworks.com. Eric will talk you through your holster options and help you design what will fit you best. His work is most excellent, the prices are very reasonable, and as I recall he got into making holsters because he couldn't find anyone to make one for the P-01

I ordered the M-100 before, and didn't like it. It didn't go down in the holster all the way either, and doesn't cover the trigger enough. Back to the manufacturer it went.

Been carrying in a Bianchi M-100 for about two years now. It isn't perfect, but it certainly does the job for a lot less that the high name brands run, money I just flat did not have. Here is one pic I have of it on, covering garment moved back.



It does move, but not nearly as much as 99% of clip holsters I have used. I would like to put a C clip on it sometime...

Seems to cover the trigger quite well. Firearm goes all the way down inside to the end of the boning, which is set for a Glock 19, hence the bulky end to accomadate the PO1 rail.


Rides well, open carry, too.

Look into a Don Hume.....for the money or lack of it...they are pretty good.
