Quick question on mag primers

I am about to load up some 357 target loads with Titegroup. My Hodgdon manual says to use magnum primers for all powders in 357's. I was under the understanding that using a magnum primer with a fast powder wasn't the best thing to do. I'm just trying to follow the manual and be safe. What do you think?

You can use them if you want too.
It is perfectly safe if the load data calls for them.

But you will get better accuracy with light loads of fast powder using standard primers I think.

Usually do. Titegroup doesn't need them. Use what you have.

If Hodgdon says to use it, then use it. With you beginning by using the start load, you will be able to decide what load gives the best accuracy between listed min and max.

You might have better consistency with a slower powder in 357 (like Accurate #9) (with mag primers). Titegroup will work, but I have problems with incomplete burn/ignition when there's such a small amount of powder in such a large case.
