I pocket carry alot, especially in the summer. I carry a Ruger LC9 and a DeSantoes pocket holster. But it prints, Does anybody know a non printing Pocket Holster for a LC9 that don’t print much? I been putting my cell phone over it to break the print

So far I'm on my 4th holster. I sometimes carry a S&W 642-1 and sometimes a Taurus g3c. Iwb seem to just don't work for me. Owb works great except in the summer with shorts and t shirt. Just to noticeable. So, now I'm thinking pocket holster.
$40 seems way too much to spend on another holster thats probably not going to work anyway.
I would just love to find a pocket holster way under $40 that will work with the S&W 642-1 and the Taurus g3c? Ideas?

I would say one of the following;
1) Alabama Pocket Holster
2) DeSantis Super Fly
3) Mika’s

‘But depending on how deep your pockets are might be the reason you can’t pocket carry well. I had to switch to old man khakis I get at TSC or Family,Farm, and Home.

I found a hack to stop printing, it’s a piece of cardboard. and it works with my existing pocket holster!

I really like and use the Recluse pocket holster. Take a look at it, no printing.
Recluse also makes the TS (two side) version that covers the trigger. I have one for my RM380.
I recently purchased a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster for my P365. It is nearly identical in size to the Ruger LC9. I was surprised that the entire pistol and holster fit into my jeans pockets. Even with the longer P365XL grip module it still fit into my jeans pocket, completely hiding the top of the pistol. The stock P365 grip almost prints worse than the longer XL grip module, because the magazine floorplate of the P365 has sharp 90° corners. I'm going to wet sand a generous radius into the edges of the P365 magazine floorplate to not only print less, but also be more comfortable in my hand.

The LC9 gets the win for the grip printing less.

It appears that Recluse makes multiple pocket holsters for both the LC9 and the P365. Holsters for curved bottom pockets, square bottom pockets, cargo pants pockets, open side and clamshell holsters, and for the P365 they also make a pocket holster with room for one extra magazine. https://recluseholster.com/ruger/ https://recluseholster.com/sig-sauer

What are the pros and cons of the open side vs the clamshell style pocket holster?

I have an ambidextrous manual safety on my P365X. But I can actuate the lever on either side of the pistol with my thumb. So it really isn't necessary to have the safety lever protruding on the right side of the pistol, even if I have to draw with my non-dominant left hand. I plan to cut off the manual safety lever on the right side.

The two side Recluse helps keep sweat from the slide, preventing rust.

My P365 has a stainless steel slide. But I'm not sure if the takedown lever, the manual safety lever, or the slide catch are made from steel or stainless steel.

As I have an extended magazine release button, the two sided holster seems like a better idea, as the thickness of the inner flap would move the extended magazine release button further away from my body. But I can already see that I would need a curved bottom holster for my jeans and a square bottomed holster for my jacket and coat. I suppose that I need to start thinking in terms of a holster wardrobe for all of my firearms fashion needs.

FYI, I just cut off the manual safety lever on the right side, leaving the manual safety lever on the left side only. I don't need to actuate the lever on the right side. Without the lever protruding on the right side it should be a better fit into the holster.

Most quality holsters are made for a specific gun. If your gun comes from the factory with an ambidextrous safety, the holster makers will make their holsters to accommodate the gun with both safeties in place. The best fit would be with standard factory parts.
