Was reading the Annals of the King's Royal Rifle Corps, Vol III the other night. The Egyptians sent a column of into the Sudan. They were armed with the Remington when they got ambushed. Like McClellan, the only accomplishment of their expedition was to supply the Sudanese with Remingtons.
