Sorry folks, I had forgotten about finishing the story on a previous post that I had made about what weapon(s) would you grab on your way out if you were forced out of your house?
So where I left off, some BGs had set the front of your house on fire with Molatovs and were randomly firing into your house. Your SO is in your house and you were delayed getting to your arsenal. So you are either running out the back with some clothing on or au natural.
So some of you asked about this situation.
The rest of the story is.. my friend who was an undercover officer assigned to get in and penetrate a local street gang, did a good job but when he was getting the whole investigation wrapped up, the gang suspected that he might have "dimed" them out. So they came to his house unannounced and saw something (to this day he doesn't know what) and the gang guys decided to kill him in his house. So they try to kick the front door in and not succeeding, go back to their car and threw "firebombs" at his front of his house. There was an open porch which caught on fire, then they shot into his house. He was in his shower when his SO starts screaming.
He grabbed the first available weapon, a handgun, runs out the back way after checking his six, yells at his SO to call 911 and follow him out. His intent was to circle around and take care of the problem, but his SO must have panicked. She went out the front way in a lull in their gun fire and when she ran across the yard, was shot.
The perps escaped in their cars. The girl died, and the officer is now a uniformed officer who is guilt ridden about her death.
