I am considering buying some of this ammo. Does anyone have any experience with shooting it?

We shoot it all the time over here in the UK.
It's made in England, and is the UKs only military ammo manufacturer and main supplier to the army.
The 7.62 greenspot and blackspot are superb match ammo.
The standard ball is good for 1-2 MOA at 1000yds in my Enforcer and Parker Hale T4 :)
.223 is just as good.

It gets an 80% thumbs up at AR15.com

My Rock River Arms has failure to extract problems with it after the gun heats up, my buddies Bushmaster M4gery eats the stuff up and never chokes on it.

It is accurate at 100yrds and pretty clean. I like the ammo my gun don't.

I have a couple cans of the stuff, I'll use it when I buy a new upper for a spare lower I have.

The big question is....

Where can you buy it now? I haven't seen any for sale in a couple years...

Thanks for the heads up. I ordeed a can. I would have ordered two, but I just bought a case of 7.5 Swiss and I'm tapped out.

Hope my Daewoo K2 likes this stuff.

GoRon,
There's a long thread on AR15 where they helped a fellow in Iraq with an extraction problem. There's a rubber washer you install in the bolt and then insert the spring and extractor. It's supposed to help a lot.

Thanks, I think my extractor is fine since it literally rips an extractor size chunk out of the rim of the case. I then have to pound the case out of the chamber with a rod.

The gun has been fine with all other ammo so I'm over it already. At first I was really PO'd, not so much at the ammo but RRA. They offered to ream the chamber if needed.

The gun works flawless with my "go to" ammo(XM193) so I didn't bother sending it in.

Thanks for all the input!

I'm gonn'a go buy at least a couple of cans this weekend.

Thanks again.

Took me a while, but I finally realized you guys were talking strictly Radway Green in 5.56. The RG I have put away is the 7.62 NATO, which is really good ammo. I've been buying LAKE CITY XM193 55GR 5.56, haven't tried RG.

Sportsmans Guide has it.

$149.99 for 700 and something rounds. I dont remember the exact quanity and I'm at work, so I cant look it up right now.

AIMSurplus.com has 720rd. boxes (.50 ammo cans) of Radway Green SS109 for $129.

It looks like it's loose packed, but it doesn't say PD. I don't know what the equivalent of PD is in the UK or if that's what this stuff is.
