I am pretty happy with my Rafter-S holster and Gun belt. The belt is Sharkskin and is beautiful. The holster has a sharkskin band and it looks great. Some of the edges aren’t finished particularly well, but for the price, I think it is a pretty good deal.

I ordered this holster and belt at the end of October, and was quoted a delivery time of 3 weeks. Unfortunately, the delivery time was closer to 3 months. I had to call two separate times to get the delivery straightened out. Normally that wouldn’t be a problem, but I was in Afghanistan.

I have had several high-end holsters (Mitch Rosen being the best, followed by Milt Sparks). I don’t have either of the holsters anymore as I sold the guns. I do still two Mitch Rosen belts… one of them was purchased in 1995. The Rafter-S holster is a good holster for the price, but the holster and belt is nowhere near the quality of the other two makes.

I'm pretty happy with my Rafter S rig. The total overall quality may not be as good as Milt Sparks, etc. but for the price I don't think you can beat 'em.
Turnaround time on mine was a little over six weeks instead of three.

It is always a trade-off between price, lead time, and desires for the "best."

I don't personally like the style of the RafterS holsters as a pancake fits tighter. I do have three of their belts, and have no desire for nicer or better belts.

There is a limit to what I desire to spend for a belt when I can get RafterS belts at the price they charge. In fact no one sees a CCW belt except at the front. My two sharkskin belts are all I want in the way of beauty and quality.

I don't think that the top makers such as Sparks overcharge, but I don't think the better quality and appearance justifies the price difference for me.

While I don't have a Rosen holster, I have a good friend who does, and it is not in any manner superior to my Sparks and Brommeland holsters in my view.

Best,
Jerry
