I would try the grip company you called but ask them if they would refund you if it doesn't fit. I mean, why not right?
Pachmayr? I could give a spin, I suppose, but I'm not inclined to. Their product is solid, but their customer support blows big time. Case in point was this particular project:
You can't just email them, you have to create a support ticket. On Feb 26 2016 I created said ticket. No response. On Mar 9 2016 I still had no answer so asked for an update the same ticket. No response. A week later I call, during business hours mind you, get dumped in a voice mail box, leave a detailed message. No response. Some days later I check the ticket, still no response, but someone closed it. In April, call, get bounced around, placed on hold, and was told the "maybe" mentioned in the OP. So, meh, I'm not inclined to waste any more time with them.
I tried a set that came from Thailand, while nice wood and I was assured they'd fit, they didn't fit at all. I used a dremel tool to make them fit, but the ejected shells hung up the grips. Neat to look at, but not workable.
The search continues, I guess, though the original ones work well enough. They are a bit clunky and look like crapola, but they do work, so I guess good enough for now.
