Hey everyone.

I recently purchased a Bushmaster in .308. It has the standard A2 handguards with a gas block that has a tri-rail system. Everything seems to be interchangable.

I was wondering if there is a relatively simple free-floating rail system that can fit on a gun of this type. Does it matter that the barrel diameter is .308?

What type of rail system is recommended. The weapon already has a flat-top upper FYI.

I have seen some rails for $300 and would definately like to keep my options under $500.

Any help is appreciated. I can post pictures if necessary.

OMG you bought one of the exploding Bushmaster BAR-10's? :D

Just kidding,You have yourself a fine accurate rifle. There have been a lot of rumors about that rifle since they came out several years ago. I wouldn't worry too much about them I have had mine for several years and it has become my favorite hunting rifle.

I don't know what free float system will fit on there I still have the standard handguards on mine. I would contact Yankee Hill Machine http://www.yankeehillmachine.com/aboutus.php. they should be able to help you. I know 50% of the parts are standard AR on your rifle.
