At a LGS today and ran across an unfired satin nickel hi power ( Belgium ) with a black pouch. This one has the gold trigger and a fixed rear sight. I believe it is from the 80's ( not absolute ). The price was $900 and I was wondering if that seemed fair or high in todays market. I have seen some on Gunbroker , not exactly like this or as nice, in the 7-800+ range.

I think the satin chrome finish Hi-Powers like the one you described were manufactured from 1980 to 1985, with somewhere around 11,000+ being made. The price seems to be in line with what I have seen on the various online auction sites.

My factory Silver Chrome MKIII Hi Power was made in 1994, so Browning did make them after the 80's too.

I believe Browning offered a somewhat different silver chrome finish on Mk.III Hi-Powers from around 1991 to 2000. This particular model was also available with adjustable sights and Pachmayr grips.

Thanks for the info, more specifically I believe the Blue Book price for 100% is more than that, but would this be 95-98% without box or how exactly does that come into play ?

I got my dad's Hi-Power that was made back in 73. It has the crown stamped on it. However, he had it Armoloy to protected from the humidity when he was out on patrol.
