Ran out of elevation on an AR

Hi guys, I just mounted a Burris P.E.P.R. one piece mount and a BSA sweet 223 scope on a flattop AR, went to the range and ran out of elevation adjustment. I can't get scope zeroed in at 50 or 100 yards. I double checked and the mount is setting dead on top of flattop rail. Do you suspect the scope doesn't have enough moa of adjustment or what? Before I call BSA and show my ignorance give me your opinion. Thanks Mac

Im not a big fan of the Burris PEPR, but you shouldn't run out of elevation. Get a better scope.

People often joke that BSA stands for Better Stay Away. Their quality leaves much to be desired, despite their often high cost. They seem to have improved somewhat in the last couple of years, but they're best avoided. If you want a good, cheap scope, buy Leapers / UTG. Several of their models are rock-solid.

Unmount all and then make sure all mounting surfaces are free of any debris. Remount scope and mounting piece to rifle. You can bore sight at 50 yards by separating the upper from lower. No way, if a valid scope and mount, that you ran out of elevation at 100 yards. Something is either broken or very miss-aligned.

Thanks for all input, I am going to take it all apart and try it again, I will try that then mount another scope to see if it is the scope or mount problem.
