Has anyone heard of or have experience with Randall pistols? My boss recently bought one from a co-worker that appears to be a well made 1911 style pistol (right handed). I hadn't heard of them and was wondering if anyone knew of any issues with them. Thanks.

Hello. I have never owned a Randall, but have shot 3 or 4 of them. These were all the fixed sight, full size 5" 1911s.

They worked fine. The sights were well-regulated from the factory and the trigger pulls on all, while not great, were very usuable. Feeding was fine with all ball rounds, CSWC handloads, and some 230-grain JHPs, though I don't recall exactly what those were.

Back in the '80s, I used to buy Randall magazines for use in my other 1911 pistols and continue to use them now. They're really good magazines (7-shot) should you happen across any.

Best.
