i love this gun!
again one of my dad's new guns, but i figure i will share with you guys anyway.

Rounds Fired:
approx 150rds of umc 115gr fmj, there wasn't a single problem when this ammo was used and it cycled and functioned dlawlessly.

approx. 50rds of his reloads, there were some issues here where he had some light loads, and it didn't want to cycle the slide completly. but this is not to the fault of the gun.

Recoil:
what recoil? there seemed to be none at all and there was definetly no muzzle flip to report! :D again i love it. i could tell that the pistols muzzle didn't flip up but the only recoil pushed straight back, which was great for all the drills that we ran it through. rapid ire was a piece of cake and great clusters of holes were all there was with never a flyer. once it got on target it was there and it didn't seem to matter how fasy we shot!

Observations:
during the first 50rds the front sight blade was totally blacked out, and the outside of the top of the slide and the barrel were covered with black carbon build up, but i knew that was gonna happen. they get dirty and fast but that didn't impeed on the shooting at all.

Conclusion:
i have nothing bad to say about this gun and again it is a testament to sa's great firearms and they have a real winner here. if you want a smooth, and easy shooting 9mm pistol this is the ticket. i love it and will love to add one to the collection one day.

this is the ported one right? i have read where some of the ported 9mm are cracking on the slide where the ports are. now sure if it is actually true bc i have not seen pics but that was what i read last week.

yes there have been some cases of that happening, but sa has a great customer service and they stand behind thier weapons and on the occasion that that did happen they replaced the pistol or fixed it. several people got different models after the damamge was done to the v10. this problem only seems to happen in the 9mm v10 though.

It happens in all the V10s, not just the 9mm.
alright well there you go. i was only aware of it in the 9mm odels, which wouldn't make much since the .40 model is the same diminsions, huh i don't know. i bet there are more of the 9mm models out there so therefore there will be more problems seen with them than the others or something?
either way sa is a great company and stands behind thier stuff and they will take care of any issues that might arise no matter what weapon of thiers that you own.

It happens in all the V10s, not just the 9mm.

Wow, I've never read anything about the .40s cracking their slide. I've done a couple of searches over on XDTalk looking for more information, but all I can find are reports of the XD9V10 with cracked slides... got a link for those of us with larger-caliber ported XDs?
