Range Report, 2nd 3 Gun Match

Manatee gun and archery glub, Myakka, Florida, (south east of tampa)

84 degrees and sunny today, it was hot!

farthest shots were 400yds with a nice mix of everything else. it is a low stress, mixed skill level local match.

since trying my first match I upgraded a few things with a vortex strike eagle 1-8 on my RRA carbine. i also worked on my shotgun reloads but I don't have the belt setup to load doubles or quads, so I am at a disadvantage. My shooting was really solid for me today, 15 out of 55 shooters and 4th in the tactical division. if I could just speed up those shotgun reloads. . . .Im sure I am not the first to say that.

I read some words of wisdom on the internet one day that inspired me to buy some of the gear - "You will make more money"

Nice work... You did very well for only the second match.

Just a hint, even without being setup to grab doubles you can speed up your shotgun loading. Flip the shotgun upside down and load it looking at the port instead of feeling for it. Will cut time off the reloads, at least it does for me.

Archangel, thanks. I am confident in my shooting, with more practice I will only get better as I push the speed envelope. So far I have not missed a target, so I am not going fast enough

I think my next purchase will be a shotshell caddie, the best value I can find are the Taccom units, thinking of going with a chest rig like this one

Does anyone have any experience with this brand? They are cheaper than most by a significant margin which can be good or bad
