I recently acquired these used BEs(IWI 9mm and an IMI .40) and got a chance to take them to the range for the first time today. They are substantial pistols and you can feel the heft when you hoist them. Recoil on the 9mm was very mild and the .40 was very manageable. Ergonomically these guns feel very comfortable in my hands. When I took my time and didn't rush my shots, both guns were capable of putting the bullets where I was aiming. I'm certain that a more accomplished shooter would have no problem taking out the "X" with either gun. The DA pull is terrible, especially on the newer 9mm. In SA mode, both pistols really impressed me. Take up is short with a little creep but then the trigger breaks cleanly. Reminds me a little of my Sig P229. I really enjoyed shooting both of these guns. I think I was actually a little more accurate with the .40. I put 100 rds of Herter's(S&B) 115 through the 9 and 100 rds of Blazer alum 180 through the .40. All rounds were fired without any issues whatsoever. The factory mags seem to be well made and were easy to load. I am very pleased with these new additions to the stable and am frankly a little surprised that they are not more popular as range and home defense guns.
