This may be old news to some here, but these are the results from my day at the range with these loads. As an intermidiate shooter, they seem impressive, and i felt like I should share.

What do the pros think ?

18 inch mossberg 500 with no mods of any kind

7 yards was kinda pointless to post :D

okay soooo i don't know how to attach pics so you can see them..oh well

15 yards--2 1/2 inches
20 yards--5 1/2 inches
25 yards--9 1/2 inches ( due to 1 rennegade pellet ) :cuss:

ohhhh i get it...you just click on the image and it expands it for you :banghead:

Hey thats diecent groups woth a cylinder choke defense gun. Wonder what they do with a full choke at longer ranges. I personally like shooting gallons of water with buckshot instead of paper.

I was using Remington low recoil buckshot in my improved cylinder bore barrel, but since switching to a cylinder bore the Remington load patterns very poorly.

I just placed a large order for the Federal stuff, it seems to do very well out of cylinder bore barrels...

Well, I'm not a pro by any stretch, but, I do appreciate you sharing your results. I find your pictures intriguing enough to want to try to pattern some in my 870 with it's plain-Jane 18.5" cylinder bore.
If only I could just find some locally. JEEZ! Everybody is sold out of EVERYTHING.:what::confused::uhoh:
Since I just need a box (or three), getting it online is not financially feasible with shipping charges being what they are. :banghead:

Oh well, sooner or later the panic buyers are bound to run out of money and hopefully the stores will re-stock. Patience is a virtue, after all. An annoying virtue sometimes, but still...:)

i got mine from Streichers online, prices were pretty good

they got the Federal low recoil Tru-ball slugs also, but finding an outdoor range to use them at in South Florida has been difficult

AmmunitonToGO has got them also

if you check into it, some online places give you free or discounted shipping when you put int a large order

Ammunition to go has been out of the federal low recoil 00 for about a couple of months. I was going to get some but waited to long.

I did get quite a bit of the Federal full power and low recoil slugs though. They are out of those now too.

Nice patterns!

That's why Fed Reduced-recoil 00 has been my SD ammo of choice for almost 10 years now. Doesn't beat-up your shoulder and places them where you need them with faster recovery time as well.

Thanks for the report. I picked up 100 rds of Federal Low recoil 00 buck w/ flight control a while back and haven't patterned them. They should do fine through my 20" IC barrel.

Very true. But personally I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet.

The two gun shops and the super Walmart in my home town have been
pretty empty for some time now. With no relief in sight.

Thanx for the range report swordsman2000.

Everyone seems to agree that the Federal stuff is GTG. Out of my 930 SPX it patterns the width of a dollar bill at 25 yards :) .

I've heard there is a Fed load that stays in the shotcup until it strikes the target, but I haven't been able to confirm it's catalog number.
