I bought a KelTec P11 last week when I realized I was heading into the Valley with no gun. Did a little smithing on it to loosen up the firing pin and spring. Twisted a drill in the recess for the firing pin and another one in the spring chanber to get the burrs out.

Took it out to the range today to test function and accuracy. The small profile target is rapid fire for function. The other two are with 115g Ranier or Winchester bullets with 4.2g Accurate #2.

Total of forty shots. I'd say it does pretty well at 7 yards. Shoot get better once I put a bump stop behind the trigger and work up a load for it.

Gee you old fart; you are not actually supposed to shoot the darn things for function and getting to know the darn thing! Don't you read teh Intrawebz!? What am I going to do with you? *wink* *razz*

Nice report sir! Appreciate your sharing. Gun will do its part if you do yours and I see you did your part.

Holler at me and I'll pick on you some more. *yep*

Yeah I know! Just not as good as I once was. We have had a heat wave here in the mountains so my hands aren't hurting as bad. The little thing kicks nicely so you know you have a gun in your hands. I seem to be able to hang onto this one and work the slide since it doesn't have a heavy spring in it.

In the bad times, I would have to stick to a revolver. I have a range report up on a Taurus 905 (9mm) I just picked up. If anything I think it shoots better that the P11, but then I am biased.

I am hoping my Lady takes a liking to one of them and makes it her own. I take business trips frequently and don't want her home unprotected. Although I must admit that any fool who comes in my yard to hurt her will have an *** full of Chow teeth since my Black Lab Chow mix dearly loves the Lady.

That P11 will do you good service. Mine was never my favorite gun, but it always did its job. I'm carrying a J-frame instead now, but would feel just fine with a P11 again, if my arthritic wrist would take it, that is! Got too painful to keep shooting it.

Yea, I know what you mean about the arthritis. If it doesn't get any better the higher caliber semi auto's may just stay in the closet. With 147g Hydrashoks, I imagine I can put enough hurt on somebody they won't want to mess with this old man.
