I have had this rifle since Sept. but due to the club I belong to redoing the rifle range i have been unable to shoot it. Yesterday my son and I went to the club to do some handgunning but i just happened to have my rifle and 50 rounds of reloads. Lo and behold the rifle range was up and running! Needless to say we wasted no time hustling over there and getting set up. Didn't have my rest with me so we used a nylon sack stuffed with our sweatshirts instead. Now mind you when I bought this rifle it had no sights whatsoever so I ended up putting an ARMS 40L and a Samson flip up front sight (the only front sight made at the time) on it.

There was no opportunity to sight it in closer than 100 yds so we set out some targets and started shooting. One thing we did forget was to bring the spotting scope so we would fire 5 rounds each and then go look (we were the only ones there). First five of mine were dead on as far as windage but about 3" low. I was afraid I wouldn't even hit paper trying to zero it at that range! The amazing thing was those first five rounds ever shot from that rifle were less than 2 moa and I consider myself a lousy shot using irons. My son's first five were not quite as good but this was his first time shooting a centerfire rifle of any kind and he was till getting 3-4 moa. Not too shabby. Unfortunately no pictures to share but I will rectify that next time.

Sounds like a neat rifle and a good time had by all.

That's what shooting is supposed to be, a really fun time.
