Range toy?

I am looking for a range toy sometime this summer. I saw the Masterpiece Arms Mac-10 clones on Atlantic Firearm's website. I have heard good things about them and I have heard bad things about them, any of you guys have any experience with them? I mean for $300 they seem like a nice 9mm plinker.

Have one in 45ACP. So far no problems with it to date. Not very accurate but a whole lot of fun to run through a 30 roud mag. Mine has about 2,000 rounds through it so far.

for 300$ i can name a number of 9mm guns that are lighter, more ergonomic and probably more reliable* ( open bolt gun forced to fire from closed bolt get bad reps.)

* i have no experience with them, only second hand stories
