Went to the range today to zero the scope on my AR and recheck the irons sights for the ACTS match next week. I got the scope zeroed quickly, and moved on to the irons. The first group was about 2" high. Then I spent the rest of the firing session frustrated and unknowingly moving the front sight in the wrong direction. Didn't realize until I went down range and saw a line of shots going up the target, and noticed I'd bottomed out the front sight. Only took a few minutes to zero after that, but made me late to something.
I got some consolation in getting a 1.25"grp at 100yards with a horrible combination. 55gr FMJ pulls, mix cases, wolf primers, 26.4 CFE 223 and a very dirty rifle.
