About a month and a half ago, I ordered a holster from Rick at RG Leather for my G19. I also ordered a belt. Sent him the money and waited. When the wait turned out a little longer than quoted (I'm a bit impatient in the childish way of someone wanting something they can't have yet) I sent him a note which he responded to VERY quickly explaining that he had had some trouble with suppliers and I was next up. About a week later I got the note that the belt/holster were on the way. Another reason for my bit of anxiety was that I was scheduled to take a class where a holster was going to be requierd. I did let Rick know that I would be putting the holster thru it's paces that day with about 400 rounds fired, lots of draw/re-holster, and racking off the holster.
When the box came, I opened it up and was thrilled with the product. The holster is a hybrid style, cut like a pancake with a form fitted outer piece that has good retention (I wouldn't want to have to fight with the gun on my hip) and a really nice fit. The leather is finished very nicely and the stitching is well done. And to top it off, as I found out in the class, it is as functional as it is pretty. One handed racks went very well, draws were smooth and re-holstering was just as smooth. I have just ordered a double mag pouch from Rick to finish off the set.
So, to sum it up: Great customer service, reasonably priced, pretty and functional. A fantastic holster from a real gentleman. Thank you, Rick.
