I called RCBS this A.M. to inquire if I could buy one of their new-generation "stepped" expander plugs to replace the standard tapered expander in my older carbide die set. The lady said "We'll send you one, no charge." Say What? Thank you, RCBS! :) :)

Now I can retire my old Lyman "M" die.

HOW can anyone argue with that answer??? :D

But to be fair, the others are close, one may be ahead ahead.
I won't mention any names/colors.

It's a whole different business model that most reloading tool manufactures have vs. other businesses...IMHO

Same service for my problem.

I stuck the primer stem in the bench mounted tool in a case I was priming.

One of the techs told me how to remove the stem and fix the problem. This type of problem had never raised its ugly head in 45 years of reloading.

They sent a new depriming rod for my sizing depriming die in case I bent it removing the stuck case.

As a bonus they sent extra priming stems. (I'm not sure of the real name)

No, that's a fact not an opinion. I deal with companies all over the world on a daily basis,
I've spent a life time looking for companies like these three because they are who I want to do business with.
I use RCBS, Dillon, and Hornady, Alliant Powder and a few others as the models for the companies I look for to buy machines from. Companies that will actually support the products they sell.

There's some out there but they don't come close to these guys and I don't expect them to, but they do much better then their competition.

And they usually turn out to be not the most expensive machine companies either, they are the ones that care the most about doing what is right.

Yes, RCBS is great. A few months ago I managed to snap off a de-priming pin while resizing. I called RCBS to buy a “couple” of replacement pins. They sent me a new shaft and a half dozen pins at no charge.

Years ago Sears Craftsman was one of the best tools the regular person could buy.
They use to have the same type warranty the reloading tool manufacturers have now.
BUT...They changed their policy and quality.
Now you might as well buy your tools at Harbor Freight????

All the reloading tool companies have been pretty good with customer problems. Even Lee surprised me.
Dillon,RCBS and Redding have been very fair and have gone out of their way to help me. (just to name the main ones I have dealt with.)

Just a thought.:)

That is why I am always pleasantly surprised when I deal with most reloading manufacturers. Point taken about Sears and Craftsman. They recently (?) acquired Land's End. the fit and quality now of their turtleneck shirts is nowhere near what it used to be. But still, not a bad shirt for the $$.

After 40 years of use my RCBS RockChucker plastic spent primer catcher broke,(my fault).I called RCBS with my problen and they sent me a new one,NO CHARGE !!!!!! Awesome equptment, awesome customer service. hdbiker

Just curious how long it takes RCBS to ship?
I called them about my impact puller head cracking and they cheerfully said they'd send a new one to me.
That was a couple of weeks ago, I don't know maybe the weather delayed it, I had some ammo that got stuck 5 days in TN on Fedex because of the ice/snow.;)

I needed a new shaft for my RCBS lock-out die. They were a bit hard to get in touch with on the phone, but a new shaft is on the way. The symptom, BTW, was failure to detect an empty case.

Bought a RCBS Rockhucker S demo at G-mountain , very good price as is. It was missing the primer catcher,a nut and a clip. I called and asked to order the parts, wanting to pay for them, they refused payment even though it wasnt their fault. Id swear the stuff arrived before Id hung the phone up. Thats above and beyond. Hornady just as good service. Redding 30 yrs ago great, most recent though not as good. But I don't any reservations dealing with any of them. Much unlike computer companies and their ilk.

I broke a 5-10 scale and sent it in askin for an estimate to fix- they sent me a new 10-10 scale to replace it... no charge my scale was 30 years old! :what: I have a lot of thier stuff and do not regret any of it.

I bought a set of used RCBS .308 dies and when I went to use them I realized a part was missing. (number of years ago, don't recall what). I emailed RCBS, told them I bought them used and asked for pricing to buy the part I needed. As others have said they quickly sent me the part for free, and I believe they sent me a hat as well. They must have sent the hat, I have one and I didn't buy it :)

I had the old style decapping setup with the spring and it broke on one of my die setups. Called rcbs and they updated all of mine. I offered to pay and they wouldnt accept.

Two weeks ago I tried to buy new spring clips for the primer tubes on my bench mounted tool. I was told that those tubes aren't available any longer and the new longer tubes now have plastic tips. The operator told me a new set will be in the mail to my house, free of charge. Ya gotta love customer service.

Bought a set of rCBS check weights from Amazon with a 20# weight missing. Called RCBS to find out if it was a quality control issue. They sent me a replacement at no charge. Amazon sent me a new replacement set with the same weight missing. Oh well:what:
