RCBS Lube Die

Obviously there's not much interest in that idea! Geeze, not even a, "it's not Dillon brand so it isn't worth a sh.." comment. I've been checking my underarms and promise I don't smell bad.

Well, I'm going to buy one and try it anyway. I figure $35 thrown down a rat hole isn't going to do me any damage. But if it works as well as they say, it'll be worth ten times that to me. No spraying lube in bags, or handling oily brass. Just lube and size on the progressive, tumble for 15 minutes, trim & prep, and finally return to the progressive to charge and seat.

Yes, I have one and have used it. Worked great. I used it in the first station of my LnL AP, to lube and decap in preparation for the second stage in which I had the RCBS X-Die (I'm doing this w/ .223).

And what wasn't clear from the materials I saw is that this die does have a decapping pin, which is necessary to use in the first station in the LnLAP.

Works as advertised.

I haven't gone all the way progressive with it yet as I've been weighing powder loads by hand (working up a variety of loads). But as a way to run some brass through decap/lube, then prime, then resize in the X-Die, it works. No reason to think the rest of the process won't work (i.e., powder drop, bullet seating).

One hint: It'll probably be difficult to squeeze out the lube from the supplied lube bottle into the hole in the lube die. The hole in the bottle tip is small. I solved this buy drilling a 1/16" hole into the plastic tip of the lube bottle to open it up a bit. Worked like a charm, makes it easy to add lube to the die.
