Ok I was given a press today that I cannot find any info on. It is an RCBS reloader special 3. I have found the Reloader 5, is it the same? The press is in new condition and he gave me a primer, and dies to go with it. Cannot beat the price...
The second question is about this little dandy powder measure. Is it any good? It came with two rotors (2 and 3). How accurate is it?
Thanks for the help...

The Little Dandy is quite consistent. Just not adjustable. You buy the rotor based on what powder and charge you want, off a chart.

As you have already found, RCBS made the Reloader Specials in several versions, most basically the same. They all work reasonably well and were/are consistant with others of simular design.

Most, if not all of them were all of the "simple toggle" lever-to-ram linkage. That means they need a considerable amount of handle pressure to size large cases.

The better design is the "compound toggle" linkage in which the lever connects to the body and ram through two swinging toggle arms. That type of linkage requires much less lever strength and is the only press design in current production, so far as I know.

Either way, you have a more than servicible press and, at the price you got it, that's a great deal! I think you will really like it for pistol stuff but won't like it quite as much for larger rifle cartridges due to the sizing force required.

I don't think the Little Dandy is any longer made either. It was a decent powder measure intended ONLY for pistol cartridges. It was not adjustable, just used interchangeable rotors with varying chamber sizes. Old rotors are occasionally listed on ebay but I believe it would be a false economy to buy many of them, rather see you purchase a new adjustable measure you can use for everything you may want to load later.

I am thinking about just using this press for depriming. I will just get a universal depriming die and do it all on this press.
