RCBS Trim Pro Manual Case Trimmer Kit

For those of you who use this trimmer, which shell holder have you found to work on 44 magnum revolver cases? The only one mine will fit in is # 04 the largest one in the kit and it seems to do a good square job of trimming the cases to length but, when I look at the suggested chart size online, it lists #18? The 44 Remington Magnum has a base diameter of about 0.4569" at a point 0.2" above the base. The RCBS shell holder #18 comes in with an ID of right about 0.458" and the RCBS #4 has an ID of 0.475". I would just continue to use the #4 since it works for you and you get a nice square cut. Interesting as a few years ago my brother gave me the motorized version which included 4 shell holders. My much older manual RCBS trimmer I have had for about 25 or 30 years came with six shell holders including the #18. I use the #18 when loading my 44 Rem Mag or 44 Special but only because I have the #18. I never gave it much thought till I read your post and looked at what I have here. You could buy a #18. If you have Amazon Prime you are looking at about $7.00 USD including the free shipping.
