RCBS X-Dies?

I dislike case trimming as much as anyone.Do these dies work as advertised?Thinking about picking up a set,and would like some feedback. Thanks all.

Yes they do. I use them in 223,308 and 30-06.

How great can the X die be? The instructions say to first trim back 30 thou shorter than max; any case I trim that much to stay within max length gets tossed anyway so by the time the die did anything for me the case would be gone. YMMV.

The instructions say to trim .010" shorter than the trim-to length. I use the X die for all my bulk .223 reloading for my ARs. They work as advertised. You won't need the small base die, unless you're having feeding problems with "standard" dies.
