A) Can bring down an aircraft

and

B) Isn't used for hunting.

Although currently I don't have a AR, in the spring I'm hoping to get one specifically for coyote hunting, and maybe one day prairie dog hunting. So anyone who says they aren't used for hunting purposes obviously doesn't know what they are taking about.

A nice Rock River with a 1 in 8 twist to handle the heavier bullets.

AR 15 is an excellent rifle for many hunting applications
I would not use it for whitetail but I know people who do.

A) Can bring down an aircraft if you manage to sneak it on board and shoot the pilot and copilot.

B) Isn't used for hunting big game animals.

My cousin shot down a Piper Cub flying over his dads farm with a Winchester 43 .22 Hornet in 1950 something.

Reckon he could have lain waste to a whole squadron of Piper Cubs, a couple of Cessna 140's, and a Stearman if he had an AR-15 then!

I just saw JJ on The Ed Show (I DVR some MSNBC shows and blow through 'em just for research) - it's the second video on this page.

These folks are completely lost - the interviews have become nothing more than word jumbles - semi-autos that bring down aircraft, can't be used for hunting, can't be used for HD, etc.
They could just as easily be saying fruit, beach, quasars, overbite.

My little word jumble makes just as much sense as what comes out of their mouths...

I should also add that the AR platform is a great hunting rifle and is truely all weather due to the aluminum construction. It is also consistant. For those who don't think it is a good "big" game rifle, you can get one in 6.8 SPC, 6.5 Grendel, 50 Beowulf, etc. and chase anything up to whitetail deer.
